Top Tips for Great Branding Photos
Identify Content Needs: Start by figuring out what content is needed for your website, social media, or other promotional purposes. Do you need to show your face more with professional headshots? Do you need to show off your services in action?
Choose the Right Location: Go for a setting that matches your brand’s aesthetic and vibe, but also shows your business in the most authentic way. As a branding photographer I can help you with this process!
Plan Out Logistics: Make sure you know where you’re going and won’t be interrupted for the duration of your shoot. Arriving early and organized will allow for a smooth, enjoyable session.
Curate a Shot List: Start by creating a Pinterest mood board for inspiration. I always ask clients to share these so I can really get the vibe they’re going for. Make a detailed list of potential key shots. Then trust your branding photographer (me) to capture you in a way that aligns with your brand goals.
Plan Props and Outfits: Decide on props that add to your brand story. Think about your message when choosing your outfit and accessories. Mixing casual and professional options can provide flexibility for different platforms.
Prep Grooming and Styling: Ensure your hair, makeup, and nails are photo-ready. Freshly washed hair, trimmed beard, clean clothes goes a long way and a lot of the time less is more!
“Just had a quick flick and these are fabulous!
Thank you so so much – so pleased with them – they fill some huge gaps in our image bank.
We have lots more projects coming up that we need to capture so will definitely be in touch for future projects.”
